FAQs
What happens if I miss an appointment?
If you are unable to keep your appointment please call our office to cancel or reschedule. Numerous no-shows can lead to being dismissed by the practice. Effective January of 2012, there will be a $25 charge for missed appointments.
Can I schedule a visit before my child is born?
Yes, you can call to schedule a “Prenatal” appointment with a physician who will answer any of your questions and give you a tour of the office.
Do you take walk-ins?
It is best that you call to schedule an appointment. If you come without an appointment for a sick visit, we will try to work you into the schedule. Depending on our schedule, this might involve some waiting. Unfortunately, we will not be able to add in same day well visits.
How long must I wait for an appointment for a sick child?
We see sick children the same day that you call.
Is there a doctor available 24 hours?
Yes. If you call after hours with a medical problem, you’ll have the chance to speak with a registered nurse who can give you appropriate advice that has been approved by your doctor. If your child’s condition is serious or the problem isn’t clear, the nurse will page the on call doctor to call you.
What age children does your practice see?
We see children from birth until they graduate from college.
What happens if I arrive late for my appointment?
If you arrive 30 minutes late or more for a well exam, you will need to reschedule your appointment for the next available open slot. If you are late for a sick appointment, we will still see your child but this may involve some waiting. It is always best to call our office to notify us if you will be late.
What services are available during your evening hours and on weekends?
Our evening hours are usually for sick children, however, we will schedule a limited number of well visits during the evening. We will see a limited amount of well visits on Saturdays and emergency sick visits on Saturdays and Sundays.
Are you open on a holiday?
Yes! We are open in the morning for emergency sick visits only on a holiday.
